Zapurse is a digital payments platform , offering a wide range of services Including Aadhar Enabled Payment System, Micro ATM, Domestic Money Transfer, Mobile recharges and DTH recharges. Zapurse provides a one stop solution for retailers to serve customers with Adhar enabled payment system,Prepaid Mobile Recharge and DTH recharges. Recharges of all telecom and DTH operators are supported by Zapurse. It is a trusted brand that enables you toTransfer money Domestically and also provide Indo Nepal Money transfer facility too.

My Task

Zapurse, a digital payments platform, is a beacon of convenience for retailers in rural India. Offering a comprehensive suite of services, including Aadhar Enabled Payment System, Micro ATM, Domestic Money Transfer, and Mobile and DTH recharges, Zapurse simplifies financial transactions. As the UX Designer and Front-End Developer for Zapurse, my role was to enhance the user experience and expand its capabilities. Our primary audience personas in this transformative journey were local shop owners and entrepreneurs.

The Challenge :

Zapurse's existing web application, primarily designed for desktop and laptop screens, faced several challenges mentioned in the Audience Personas.

Audience Personas :

Ramesh - The Local Shop Owner : Ramesh needed an intuitive platform to provide services like Aadhar-enabled payments, mobile recharges, and domestic money transfers.

Meena - The Entrepreneurial Spirit : Meena, an ambitious entrepreneur, aimed to expand her small business by offering diverse financial services to her community.

Vijay - The Everyday User : Vijay, a regular customer, relied on Zapurse for various financial transactions, from money transfers to DTH recharges.

Design Process :

User-Centric Design : We revamped the web application's UX, ensuring it was straightforward for users like Ramesh and Meena, who may not be tech-savvy.

Feature Enhancement : We added a new module for booking flight and train tickets in India, broadening the application's utility.

Usability Testing : Real users like Vijay played a crucial role in providing insights that shaped design refinements.

Accessibility : Given the rural context, we ensured the platform was accessible with slower internet connections and on a range of devices.

Brand Consistency : While enhancing UX, we maintained Zapurse's brand identity and messaging.
